Locally Owned and Operated Since 1985 - Our Story 

Once nestled among the towering pines, the quaint community of Paradise, CA, was a picturesque haven for friends to gather and new acquaintances to be made. Meehos, a beloved restaurant, stood as a symbol of warmth, authentic Mexican flavors, and cherished memories. 

In November of 2018, a devastating wildfire raged through the region, leaving behind a trail of destruction that took nearly everything in its path. The once-beautiful community was reduced to ash, and the future seemed bleak. 

However, amid the ashes and broken dreams, a glimmer of hope emerged. Despite the overwhelming devastation, the indomitable spirit of the community refused to be extinguished. Families, friends, and strangers alike rallied together, determined to rebuild and breathe life back into Paradise. 

Meehos, though bearing scars from the fire, stood as a beacon of resilience and determination. With unwavering spirit, the owner (Francisco), remaining staff, and workers came together to clean up and restore the beloved restaurant. Through collective effort and support of individuals, Meehos was reborn. 

As the restaurant reopened its doors, it once again became a gathering place for locals and a refuge for those in surrounding communities. The scent of traditional Mexican dishes filled the air, and the familiar sounds of laughter and conversation returned. 

The road to recovery was long and challenging, but the strength and perseverance of the community prevailed. The spirit of Paradise, embodied by the revival of Meehos, served as an inspiration to all who witnessed its remarkable journey. Together, the survivors had not just rebuilt a restaurant, but they had rekindled the flame of hope and resilience in their hearts, proving that even in the darkest of times, the human spirit can endure and triumph.

We have put a lot of effort into creating a clean and comfortable space for you, your friends, and your family. Bring your gang and savor one of our delicious freshly prepared meals every day.
